Discover the historical and architectural heritage of Stavelot in one of the cult buildings of our city : the Stavelot Abbey. With guided tours, archaeological excavations or museums, this monastic foundation established in the 7th century will delight lovers of history and culture.
In addition to the three permanent museums (Spa-Francorchamps Racetrack Museum – Historical Museum of The Principality of Spa-Malmedy – Guillaume Apollinaire Museum), come and discover the “From Printmaking to Manga, Artistic Japan” exhibition available until November 29, 2026.

For folklore enthusiasts
Anyone who visits our region knows that its folklore makes it legendary. The town of Stavelot will live to the rhythm of its traditional folklore with the 521th Laetare celebration, taking place from Saturday, March 14th to Monday, March 16st.
Costumes, floats, and confetti make their grand return, much to the delight of the folkloric societies and spectators! On Sunday, no fewer than 2,500 participants will take part in the Grand Procession. A great opportunity to visit Stavelot and discover the Capital of Laetare.
